Christmas holly wreath. Felt crafts

Every year when it comes December, the children begin to ask for the Christmas decorations. Placing decorations around the house is a ritual that is repeated every year and that they enjoy very much, because Christmas is a time of fun and joy.

After several years, and with the children placing the decoration, it is possible that some elements have defects, so it is a good idea to renew their appearance.

If you have a wooden hoop at home, it's time to make a holly Christmas wreath by covering it with felt sheets. An ideal ornament to decorate and hang on the front door of the house or in the center of the table.

  • Wooden hoop
  • Red felt
  • White felt
  • Green felt
  • Black marker
  • String
  • Glue
  • Pair of scissors

1. Draw, with a black marker, the holly leaves, or with the shape you prefer, to cover the crown. Combine green and white felt, or different shades. Give them different sizes to make it more realistic. On red felt, draw small circles.

2. Cut out the silhouettes from the felt sheets. Make enough to cover the entire crown, and as many red circles as you want to decorate.

3. Put glue on the wooden ring and on the felt sheets, and stick them together.

4. Surround the hoop with the glued sheets. You can put several together to make small bouquets before attaching them to the hoop. Keep going until well covered.

5. Place the red circles on top of the leaves. You can put them alone or put several together, as you like.

6. Tie or glue a string to the hoop. You now have your felt holly wreath, ready to hang!
