Carnival mask. Crafts for kids

It seemed like they were never going to arrive, but we are finally in Carnivals! But one more year we are assailed by the same doubt about the child's costume. It is not necessary to be overwhelmed, because the theme is very varied and because you can make real arrangements manually.

Guiainfantil proposes step by step the elaboration of a Carnival mask. The mask chosen for this Carnival… is a real SUN! It is very easy to make with children and one of the best ways to spend a pleasant time with your children.

  • Thick cardboard paper
  • Cotton
  • Yellow, orange, and red tissue paper
  • Pencil
  • Pair of scissors
  • Glue

1. With the help of a plate, draw a circle on the cardboard. Then you have to cut them out and draw a smiley face in the center.

2. The next step is to cut out the eyes (large, to see better), the nose, but leaving the upper part, and the mouth. Then you have to stick small pieces of cotton on the top of the eyes, around the mouth, above the nose, and on the cheekbones, as can be seen in the photo.

3. With the help of glue, try to cover the eyebrows and nose with pieces of the yellow tissue paper.

4. Likewise, you must also cover the mouth with the red paper, and the cheekbones with the orange one, always with the glue strokes. Once all the steps have been carried out, you have to put three layers of paper, letting it dry, one by one. It is advisable to use, above all, many colors.

5. The next step is to cut out some pieces of paper in the shape of a triangle. Next, what you have to do is outline the rays of the sun, gluing them around the circle. On the back (which appears a bit), you can stick pieces of magazine sheets, and more triangles of rays of the sun. The more rays, the happier and more colorful the sun will be.
